Has anyone taken their baby to hospital appointments (not scans). They’re able to come to come to my midwife appointments with me but I’m consultant led so have extra appointments.
I have no childcare for baby and have never left him. The letter has come through with less than a weeks notice so not sure what to do.

My kids have come to midwife appointments scans is coz of radiation and the equipment

I've seen parents take babies and children to consultant with them. If there is any way you can get cover - another mum, neighbour, family, then do, because you'll take a lot more in than if your child is there 😅 but otherwise most people are pretty understanding as long as it isn't a scan, fertility clinic or an early pregnancy unit where people are getting bad news ❤️

My son will be coming to all my appointments as Im consultant led and will be having more than my first consultant led pregnancy last year so I can't keep asking family to watch him etc. as for scans we'd like him to come to the first one will be asking ahead of time if that's allowed so he can see baby brother or sister and then after that we will be getting someone to have him just for those
I was consultant led for my first baby he’s 8 months so it’ll be all the same stuff, I won’t be able to get cover, I’ve never left him before and I’ll be gone 2/3 hours as the hospital is about 50 minute drive and I can’t bare to leave him for that long x
from what I’m aware of children can’t go to scans, I’m not sure whether it’s because if it’s bad news or another factor, my friend walked my son around in the pouring rain she wasn’t even allowed to bring him in the building. Family have told me I’ve decided to have another baby so I’ve got to figure it out….

Ahhh if you've already done all the appointments before then I'm sure you'll be fine. If it's the same consultant to boot, you might be able to ask to have phone appointments for the majority of them

We're gonna ask as I haven't been told he can't come so going to check but he's already had scans of his own before including an MRI so kot sure if that impacts him coming in
I didn’t actually meet my actual consultant until 39 weeks with my first. But I had a C-section 8 months ago so may be to do with this also x
ah okay I’m not sure, the letter I received said no children/babies etc. I understand babies, especially if someone was to sadly miscarry and then see a baby in the waiting room x

Oh gosh that seems so late on! I saw my consultant after every growth scan (every 1-2 weeks from 28wks), and then she did my c-section at 36 weeks (baby stopped growing).
sorry should have been clearer I saw a consultant just not my assigned one! I have monthly growth scans but have been told that it may be fortnightly because of the section x
