Movement

So I'm 24 weeks and I had my midwife appointment Thursday. Baby fine wriggling round and strong heart beat. She told me now I have to keep an eye on movement. Yesterday they never stopped kicking and wriggling and today I've only felt them 3 times. I do have a anterior placenta so not sure if its because of that.

I was told it's what is normal for your baby so if it isn't normal just call . They may be happy with what you have felt or they may feel it's worth checking. Please remember no one else can tell you what's a normal amount of movement for your baby only you can .

If movements don’t feel “normal” to what you normally would feel then call labour ward! Always call if you feel unsure about movements, I’m 26 weeks and have been in twice already for lack of movements! I haven’t got a routine yet with the movements but she’s normally really active but I’ve had the odd day where I’ve hardly felt her and have called them and been checked over.

They are Amazing and so reassuring! I got really stressed and anxious the second time I called as I didn’t want to be that person who was constantly going in but they were so reassuring and said they’d rather me go in every day if I’m anxious about movements as they themselves would rather keep checking so that nothing gets missed and they can make sure both mum and baby are okay!

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
