So this isn’t about my LO having separation anxiety, I think its me! 🙈
Just wanted to know if anyone else is like this?
My LG is 14 months old, I haven’t left her with anyone else but her dad for a few hours ONCE. I never want to go anywhere unless she can come, turn down every outing invite that is adults only, the thought of leaving her with anyone or just not being with her makes me feel so anxious and sick! My LG is very attached to me and only ever wants me, so I don’t know whether this has anything to do with how I feel but I just can’t ever imagine leaving her to go anywhere/do anything. Is this normal?

I also haven’t left my little girl aside from going to work. I’ve been back at work since August but reduced from full time 40 hours per week down to 17.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 1pm. She goes to nursery on a Monday and Tuesday morning and my sister has her Wed - Fri mornings, or my Mum if she’s off her work. I haven’t been on a night out, or a date night (we never had those before anyway 🤣). I’ve not been big on nights out for years, but I absolutely dread the thought of even going to the shop with my little one. I’ve had offers from my Mum and Sister to have her overnight countless times but I just don’t feel the need for it. I’d be lost. I have absolutely no anxieties around her being with them, because they adore her and they see her every single day without fail. I just want to soak up every single minute. We waited so long for our miracle 🥰

Couldn’t have said it better myself! My son is 13 months and hasn’t left my side since day one. Apart from going to the gym or going to the shops and leaving him with my partner for an hour or so. I am mentally exhausted and I know I need a break but whenever I’m not with him I just worry. My partners parents even get annoyed at me for not letting them babysit. My som was a 26 weeker and spent 4 months in NICU. So I am bound to be over protective, but 100% have separation anxiety! So totally normal I think! X
