Partners at Whiston

It tends to depend I think with my first I had an emergency c section and was on a shared ward for around 5 hours before getting a private room; they allowed my husband to stay for an hour but then he had to leave. Whereas I had a planned c section with my second and he was allowed to stay the whole way through of her wanted to. It may be that things have changed as my first was nearly 7 years ago but my second was 7 months ago. As far as I am aware he should be able to stay with you.

I gave birth in may and was having an induction. My partner got to stay with me as soon as we was booked in up until I got moved to the ward after having the baby. We got moved to the ward about 1am and he had to go home but was then allowed to come back the following day for the whole day for visiting times which I think was from 8/9am but can’t remember. We were allowed home that same day so not sure what time he would have been allowed to stay til if we hadn’t.
