So I had a ct scan done of my kidneys en possibly pelvic area when I was about 2 to 3 weeks pregnant. I had no idea I was pregnant and the pee test at the doctor showed up negative too. I am now terrified for my unborn baby's health and wellbeing due to radiation exposure. My heart is hurting and I am so scared. Im 11 weeks now and will be doing health and dna tests on Monday. What can I do to calm down and trust that my baby will be healthy and safe. This is my first pregnancy 😭

If you were 2 weeks pregnant then you would have just ovulated. You’re not pregnant the first two weeks of pregnancy. Have you had your first ultrasound yet. I wouldnt be worried. You can only work with the information you have and you had no idea. At that point you were very barely pregnant if at all so I think everything will be fine

Ok thank you ❤️😢

Wow I have a similar situation I had surgery and was heavily medicated under general anesthesia plus heavy pain killers after surgery. My pregnancy test day of surgery was negative as well and then one week later I was positive. I am just about 10+6 and extremely nervous about it as well. Are you going for the nipt test?

I think you will be just fine. Pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period, so on day 1 of pregnancy you're actually bleeding, and then after the period ends, a new mature egg is released when you ovulate - roughly 10-14 days into the cycle. After that the egg gets fertilised, and you will get the positive pregnancy test results around the time your next period is meant to happen.
There are also some women that don't know that they are pregnant until much much later in their pregnancy, and as such they party/drink/smoke and don't take the vitamins, and the baby turns out just fine. So I wouldn't worry. But it's always good to get the tests just in case, because they would also check for any genetic defects.
Also congratulations! 🎊😊

I am getting my blood tests done tomorrow at 11 weeks and 2 days 🥺

@Zarike don't worry, that's a standard procedure. I had that too. More than once now too :D

Thanks for the reassurance I just hope the results of the tests will be clear with no complications. Thanks girls 💗

I'm sure it will be just fine. They are likely to test for infectious diseases, so like HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B. Then they'd offer screening for the trisomies 13, 18 and 21. And they're likely to test the blood for general things like vitamin deficiencies etc.
