I have a close friend that I have known for about 7 years, her youngest son is at school with my eldest. She suffered several miscarriages in the last 2 years incl one at 18weeks and due to her age and health reasons it is very unlikely that she will have another baby. She has told me that she finds it difficult seeing me with my baby so I've tried to give her a bit of space although we live very close and our sons spend a lot of time together and are in the same class at school. She has been posting a lot on social media about how lonely she is and that she has no friends, no one visits her anymore etc. I know when I went through my own loss I wanted people around me but everyone grieves differently. I don't know whether I should be continuing to give her space or getting in touch more so that she knows that I'm still there for her. 😢

I think you should just talk to her and ask her what she needs from you

Miscarriages don’t have anything to do with age. It mostly is due to the environment in which the egg grows- so heavily dependent on good nutrition. If she is open to it I’d suggest having her talk to a nutrition expert that is well versed in preconception. Like me!
But I would still be reaching out. Maybe once or twice a week just to remind her that she’s not alone, and she will eventually realize she’s the one putting her self in isolation.
