We started purées at 5 months, received clearance from doctor at 4 months. Now he will be 6 months tomorrow but we couldn’t get into the doctor until November 30th because of thanksgiving. What are your favorite new foods for 6 month olds? Any real food, not purées he can try?

Omg we followed the same schedule! Dr gave green light at 4 months and I spent a whole month like what do I do?!? Finally just said screw it we will start with jars and then try BLW once he is 6mo and the recipes at least align with his age.

We give my daughter whatever we are eating

Mashed sweet potatoes!

We started with simple homemade purées at 5 months and she’s 6 months now and still not into it at all 🫠. We’ve tried sweet potato, apple, banana, and green beans as well as rice cereal. She has maybe 1 bite and spits it all out.

Following but also our daughter will be 6 months tomorrow as well!!

Same for me. Go signal at 4 months. Tried cereal once a week. Then now 5
Month. Tried apple. Watermelon

Oatmeal with PB & bananas are a fav! Also loves peas, eggs, & strawberries. He’s liked almost everything we’ve given him! Just trying to experiment more with textures!

I did steak green beans and noodles she loved the noodles and steaks

I plan to offer whatever I’m eating or feeding my two year old. As far as preparing and serving I refer to solid starts app/website.
