Mines the same. I keep offering him bits and he keeps turning his nose up at it. Have you tried finger foods? He’ll happily suck steak and lamb and will occasionally munch a biscotti or melty stick. He squishes a lot and doesn’t put it in his mouth but I keep offering in case one day he changes his mind xx

Sorry I am new to the finger foods , could you please tell me how u give them ?

So things they can hold themselves. People tend to give carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, banana. Things that are long and can be held in their hands. My little one then has a bit more control of it. He only eats a little bit of them or sucks them but it’s getting him used to food. We also got feeding dummies and put fruit in it for him to suck on like orange segments, mango, frozen fruit when he’s teething and he’s sucking and getting the flavours of new things. You can squash blueberries and give them too as when they’re finger pinched it’s less of a choking hazard xx

When I give finger foods what if he bites off a big piece off ?

So when my little one does he has gagged on them before but it’s getting them used to their gag reflex. He’s been sick with it but it’s them learning. And it’s not easy at all seeing them struggle but it’s how they learn. He’ll either spit it out or gag and then realise after a while the bits are too big.
Ella’s kitchen melty sticks are brilliant though - they’re like a softer wotsit and even when my little one has bit off a bit too much they melt in the mouth so quickly it reduces his gagging and my anxieties xx

This carrot and cucumber finger foods is it cooked or raw ?

thank you 🤩
