My obgyn has decided to see me weekly now for follow-ups until delivery. I’m 34 weeks and was under the impression you do biweekly visits at this point. I didn’t get prenatal care until last month due to nightmarish insurance, so I know I’m “behind” on my care- but we don’t seem to really do anything extra? I have NSTs twice a week which have all been fine according to her, I just pop in for half an hour and pop out no problem. I had high blood pressure twice at home but we know that was from overheating (I’m a New Yorker 8 months pregnant in Florida, it’s a lot to adapt to 🥵😭) and I have been 100% fine ever since then. All my labs from urine to glucose to blood have been normal, every ultrasound normal. My only issues is the delayed care and being overweight. Again though she hasn’t mentioned what care I missed on that hasn’t been taken care of, I mean I’ve had two ultrasounds in the last week alone! Don’t get me wrong I love all the baby pictures 🥰 but it feels so excessive and they haven’t really explained why at this point - even the scheduling team at the office was confused by it. Am I right in being confused about this or is this normal to be so heavily monitored at this point?

I’ve had the same being bmi of anything over 30 or any other “risk factors” means more monitoring but my ob said not to really worry about it it’s just precautionary and not really a big deal

It's the overweight - it's deemed a high risk pregnancy.
Which is my pregnancy too.
I've had 0 issues at all and mines been wanting to see me every week since 34- I'm 38 now.

I’ve always done weekly starting at 35 weeks

Also a NYer in FL, it's atrocious 😂. I just want a gosh dang breeze.
I have no risk factors and have been weekly since 35 weeks. Just keeping up with you and baby. It's also nice in case questions arise.
