Anyone still contact napping through the day? If I keep her on me she will easily sleep for an hour but if I put her down I’m lucky to get 20 mins! When should we be stopping contact napping?

Yeah, it's literally the only way he will sleep at all during the day. I'm not in any rush to stop it as it will mean even less sleep during the day for him!

I am exactly the same. If I want him to have a decent nap I either have to sit with him on me or walk with him in the buggy. Otherwise it is just cat naps all day.

Snap! He goes down a dream at night and sleeps through. But will only sleep on me in the day or if he is out in the pram. He will sleep on the sofa at times too but that doesn’t help because I can’t leave him on there to do some jobs 😂 I’ll make the most of it though as he will soon outgrow it 😊

Yes. Although I put my little girl in a wrap so I can sit and go to the loo etc. Nice to know it’s not just me that’s still contacting napping.

Ive gone to half and half. So I did contact nap initially for almost an hour 🙈 I was very comfy! and now i have laid him down and he stayed asleep. Yay!!!
I also use pram to nap. I find when out in pram he sleeps very well. His morning nap is always the longest nap

Glad to know it’s not just me pramming and contact napping!

If you're happy and enjoying it then soak it up! I did some contact naps with my eldest until he was nearly 1, no regrets. I miss them now!!

I do like it but would like the option to put her down so I can pee/cook/clean! Not sure how to train her to actually stay asleep for naps that aren’t on me though!

My lg is so tired today from the 30/40 min wake ups. Currently contact napping and she’s had 2 hours

For those who are contact napping - how long do you usually get? Mine tend to be max one hour and she has 4 naps per day

I still contact nap during the day. It’s the only way to get full 1h30 naps 4/5x a day. At night she sleeps fine in her room.

My LO goes perfectly at night in his bed but we mostly contact nap during the day. Sometimes I put him down and he wouldn’t last more than 30 min, if on me maybe 1 hour. Afternoon long nap (around 2.5 hours) is always a contact nap and I have no rush to stop it as I love it too!

45min to 1 hour for morning naps, 2.5 hours afternoon nap (he has gone up to 4 hours if no contact naps in the morning as he would be exhausted) and 30 min for his last nap before bed time.

My 3 month old will not nap through the day without contact naps. Put him down and he will be awake in 5 minutes. He will go down from about 8pm

Interesting - I never seem to get a nice long afternoon nap even with contact napping! 🤷🏻♀️
