Combi feeding

Those who combi feed, what times of day do you give bottles of formula & how long would you say you have before you need to breastfeed again? I gave my LO a bottle at 7:20am & by 8:30am he was already wanting boob 😅

I always do boob first and then offer bottle if she's still hungry, but during the night I try and only offer boob. I go to bed around 10 and my husband does a bottle feed around midnight, so I get 4-5 hours of solid sleep. I also try to make sure she feeds more during the day so she doesn't need as much through the night 😊 I would say she maybe has 4 bottles in a day of 3-4oz and she's 5 and a half weeks

I was giving my boy 2 bottles a day. One mid morning and one around 10pm so my husband can give it and I get a bit of sleep. I just breastfeed over night (because it’s way easier 🤣).
This week I plan to up it to 3 bottles a day, will give it mid/late afternoon. He is a hungry baby! Today he had 5oz bottle and then wanted boob straight after 🙃 I think he’s cluster feeding so normal! My only concern is my supply going down. But he’s still breastfeeding so much I think I’ll be alright x

We give 1-2 bottles of formula a day. One midday and the other at about 9/10 he often will breast feed before and after, but I think that's because he uses it for comfort as well as food.

I just give 1 bottle of formula at 11pm (120mls). I breastfeed the rest of the time. LO is 4weeks.

I do a bottle of 4oz around midday which she drinks the majority of and another in the evening - usually around 8pm.
The rest of the time I BF on demand - baby is 4 weeks ☺️

Though last night she had an extra bottle as she was very snuffly and was getting frustrated with the boob x

Just wondering how you are all finding combi feeding? I am currently topping up my little one using cup feeding as I was scared a bottle would cause nipple confusion. Little girl is only just over a week old.

Dummy

My baby has had a dummy since about 2 weeks old (now 5 months) and over the course of the last month we weaned her off it during the day only for naps and night (which was fine) and then 5 days took it completely away during the day.

The first day no dummy was fine, the second bit rougher. But now it feels impossible she just moans and cries all the time it takes ages for her to go down to sleep (she’s always been an amazing sleeper)

I thought it was meant to get better as time went on not worse. I’m at my wits end I dunno what to do.

Currently typing this as she screams uncontrollably in the car and I cry with her cos I can’t do anything.

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Is this normal?

My 12m old is really funny with kids going near him, he’s always been this way, but anytime family’s kids sit next to him or head his way he moans or cries and moves away. He also really observes them and is never really relaxed, always looking over his shoulder. Has anyone experienced this? (He’s starting nursery properly tomorrow so hoping this helps) but is this normal?

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!
