Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler
Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.
The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.
He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.
He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.
We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.
He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.
Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

a lot of these seem normal my daughter is 23 months and does alot but clearly her ASD test at 18

I agree with others when they say it sounds like normal behaviour. But I never wanna dismiss a mamas gut feeling. Always worth talking to your primary care provider if you’re worried.
All of my sister’s kids are on the spectrum. The main tell for my nephew was that he didn’t respond to his name and wouldn’t look at you when you spoke to him. My niece is completely nonverbal and was diagnosed just before 2.
Both if them had some preferences and sensory issues. Like they would both cover their ears when the dog barked or when people entered a room and it was loud. They would only drink milk from a bottle and water from a sippy cup. They were delayed in potty training and speech.
Sounds just like my 18 month old. Has so many toys but wants to take off and put on lids to any container. It's just normal developmental behaviour for a toddler. A lot of things are still new to them. The hand leading could be due to separation anxiety and going on holiday as a toddler is a big change to what is usual to them so it's understandable they would be distressed.
My son just turned two and he was tested, he doesnt have autism but has speech delay, he responds well with sign language. He's seeing a speech therapist now.
I do think these sound fairly normal
At 13 months, most kids aren't interested in toys . They stil mouth stuff . Mine love just getting containers out . It sounds like just transporting schema
Lots of babies struggle with chanfe. You knew you went on holiday temporarily but he doesn't have the vocab or world understanding to know that . Everything he knows at home was suddenly gone
That said, you do know your child best. Keep an eye on things. Keep tracking milestones. Speak to professionals. Speak to other parents. Family hubs if you have them.
Very young at the moment IMO
I will bring it up with his pediatrician at his 15 months appointment just to be sure.

How are we dealing with creepy neighbours?
Only lived at my address for 5 months, I can’t go into detail of everything that’s happened with this 1 neighbour because it’s too much 🤣 but basically he’s weird and creepy as f*. He’s wanting too much information about my toddler, i am 4 weeks pp and haven’t answered the door once (since giving birth) to his parcels being left here or him ringing my bell. I feel like I’m being a bad neighbour but he’s just too much. I don’t want to stand at my door having the same repetitive conversation of him delving too much into my life, while I have a baby and a toddler now to watch.
Also my dog only barks at him…
He stares into my window every time he walks by (he lives right next door) honestly I wish I could spew every encounter I’ve had with him here but it’s too much 🤣😅 anyway - how do I stop feeling like a nasty neighbour? I don’t want him to hate me incase he is a psycho and tries anything but I also don’t want him to speak to me…

Aibu overthinking sunglasses ??
When I was in my partners car yesterday I found sunglasses down the wee side passenger bit but they are usually sunglasses id wear and I said to him are these yours and he was like naw they must be yours cause your the only one that’s been in this car but I have a head like a siv I can’t remember but I leave sunglasses lying everywhere, I have a pair in my car .. and I also have ones left in my boyfriends house that have been there for ages. But I can’t remember 🤣 I think I was at a fair middle of August and bought a pair for a pound.

No poo for 6 days.
My hasn’t had a poo for almost 6 days now. He’s mostly breastfed and once in a while on formula. Have spoken to health visitor but was adviced to
Monitor. I’ve also done lots of exercises with my baby like bicycle ride and tummy massage but nothing. His tummy is soft and winds a lot but no poo yet. Should I still be worried ? Almost 7 weeks

How long did your breastfed baby take to get back to birth weight?
I have just had my 5 day appointment and my baby has dropped 9%. I've been booked for a reweigh on Monday and told if she's lost more we will be sent to hospital. I said that's fine but I will refuse any feeding plan as I was put on one last time ( triple feeding) and it made my daughter projectile vomit and my mh plummet. She then asked if I had through about pumping and I said no I won't be pumping 5 days PP and 1 day after my milk has come in. Honestly the whole appointment has left me so angry at the pressure they put on us to get back to birth weight in 10 days. My partner also said she was weighed wearing a hat and blanket ( I had a c section so couldjt se)

Baby acne !
My baby girl has baby acne I’ve been to pharmacy and spoke to health visitor but they haven’t really gave much advice ! I’m not sure if it’s getting worse the acne started when she was 4 weeks she now 5 xx

Colostrum
How much colostrum should I bring with me to the hospital? I’ve got about 20ml but don’t want to take all of the syringes with me as I know I won’t use them all. Thank you 😊
