How are we dealing with creepy neighbours?

Only lived at my address for 5 months, I can’t go into detail of everything that’s happened with this 1 neighbour because it’s too much 🤣 but basically he’s weird and creepy as f*. He’s wanting too much information about my toddler, i am 4 weeks pp and haven’t answered the door once (since giving birth) to his parcels being left here or him ringing my bell. I feel like I’m being a bad neighbour but he’s just too much. I don’t want to stand at my door having the same repetitive conversation of him delving too much into my life, while I have a baby and a toddler now to watch.

Also my dog only barks at him…

He stares into my window every time he walks by (he lives right next door) honestly I wish I could spew every encounter I’ve had with him here but it’s too much 🤣😅 anyway - how do I stop feeling like a nasty neighbour? I don’t want him to hate me incase he is a psycho and tries anything but I also don’t want him to speak to me…

Install a ring doorbell, even if it's a fake one!

Why are people so creepy!!!! I had a neighbour who kept buying clothes for my baby. Mind you before I had my baby even whilst I was pregnant she never once said hello to me only to my husband. She gave me Ronnie from EastEnders vibes acting cray for having lost a baby and turns out sadly she has had previous pregnancy losses and has mental health issues that makes her think she's pregnant when she's not apparently. Anyway she seemed like she wanted to be involved in our lives and sorry but I'm not down for that. We say hello etc however me and my husband had to say to her to not buy any clothes as she will be wasting her money as he has loads of clothes (which he did as we were gifted loads) and that we are just private people. I say all of that to say maybe you can just say thanks for the gifts etc but not necessary as you are a private person so please not to turn up at your door as it disturbs baby and the kids when you've just put them down or you are napping etc. All of which could be plausible excuses🤷

I asked Chat GPT and the response was, "Hi. I don't want to have conversations with you or discuss my children or personal life. Please respect my privacy and leave me alone from now on. I won't be engaging in further conversations. Thank you."
If he continues, disengage and tell him you've already had this conversation once so he needs to respect it.
I think that advice is pretty solid tbh. Straight to the point. Don't be worried about hurting his feelings, you need to tell him straight (or get your partner to)

Confused about sterile bottles

This may sound silly, but I’m a FTM so any advice would be appreciated 🥹
My baby is 11 days old, and at some point I would like to start going out more but I’m confused how the bottles will be sterile in a bag, I currently use the Tommee Tippee bottles and the Tommee Tippee UV steriliser but I read once they are out the steriliser they aren’t sterile anymore? Maybe I’m misunderstanding it. Just wanted some advice on what other people do 😊

How to stop ruminating?

I've noticed for the last year, I'm stuck in this phase of rumination.

Thoughts about people who has wrong me in the past.

It's not a feeling of hate or ill willm it's almost like a heart break over what a friend or family member did. And I think wow I would have never did that to them.

It's taking up to much mental load and I realised these past events has put a wall up.

I dont want these scenarios to live rent free in my head. I have no time for it.

But the question is, how do you just get over it and move on?
