How much colostrum should I bring with me to the hospital? I’ve got about 20ml but don’t want to take all of the syringes with me as I know I won’t use them all. Thank you 😊

I took 6mls and never needed them. They do have freezers at hospital so they will keep in freezer and you can bring back with you but I have never used the colostrum my milk came through by day 2 so I was very lucky.
I took mine to hospital in a metal flask with ice in it to keep it frozen.

That’s amazing you got so much! I took all of mine with me and didn’t end up using it there. We were so caught up in the moment that we forgot we even brought it in with us and she latched well etc. So I’d say maybe take half of what you have? And keep half in your freezer at home. You could always send someone over to fetch it from your freezer if you need it.

I took about 10ml but as she went to nicu and my milk didn't come in, we used it all. Then ended up needing to supplement since I was barely producing.
I'd take 10ml if you can and keep frozen so you can take it back if you don't use it all.

I had 14ml and took it all, they just store it in the freezer 😊 I used like 6ml in the end because baby was sleepy and wouldn't latch and I only had like hour and a bit skin to skin to get her to feed before I had to go to get my placenta removed as it didn't deliver. I just brought the rest home cause she latched fine after I was sorted and she was more awake 😊

I took two shopping bags full didn’t even need it as baby fed within the first hour it all went to waste as I forgot about it in the fridge when we got home 🤦🏼♀️

How did you collect it? I cant get anything out
Only lived at my address for 5 months, I can’t go into detail of everything that’s happened with this 1 neighbour because it’s too much 🤣 but basically he’s weird and creepy as f*. He’s wanting too much information about my toddler, i am 4 weeks pp and haven’t answered the door once (since giving birth) to his parcels being left here or him ringing my bell. I feel like I’m being a bad neighbour but he’s just too much. I don’t want to stand at my door having the same repetitive conversation of him delving too much into my life, while I have a baby and a toddler now to watch.
Also my dog only barks at him…
He stares into my window every time he walks by (he lives right next door) honestly I wish I could spew every encounter I’ve had with him here but it’s too much 🤣😅 anyway - how do I stop feeling like a nasty neighbour? I don’t want him to hate me incase he is a psycho and tries anything but I also don’t want him to speak to me…

I have just had my 5 day appointment and my baby has dropped 9%. I've been booked for a reweigh on Monday and told if she's lost more we will be sent to hospital. I said that's fine but I will refuse any feeding plan as I was put on one last time ( triple feeding) and it made my daughter projectile vomit and my mh plummet. She then asked if I had through about pumping and I said no I won't be pumping 5 days PP and 1 day after my milk has come in. Honestly the whole appointment has left me so angry at the pressure they put on us to get back to birth weight in 10 days. My partner also said she was weighed wearing a hat and blanket ( I had a c section so couldjt se)

My hasn’t had a poo for almost 6 days now. He’s mostly breastfed and once in a while on formula. Have spoken to health visitor but was adviced to
Monitor. I’ve also done lots of exercises with my baby like bicycle ride and tummy massage but nothing. His tummy is soft and winds a lot but no poo yet. Should I still be worried ? Almost 7 weeks

For those who have largely contact napped - when did you realise baby no longer wanted a contact nap anymore and started to put them down?
