Sickness

Hi! I’m currently 21w + 3d and have had sickness every time I take my multivitamin and aspirin. I have spoken to my consultant and he seems to think it’s just morning sickness but it’s whenever I take these tablets, does anyone else have this problem? I’m so stressed as I know how important it is to take them but can’t help it🙈 x

Maybe try a different brand? Also I thought pregnant women weren’t supposed to take aspirin? I understand you may have some condition that requires it and your doctor may deem it the lesser risk. But on the off chance that isn’t the case maybe look it up and double check. I could also be wrong

I’ve got a high BMI, I’ve been told to take it to reduce the risk of preeclampsia? I’m just following what I’ve been told by the consultant & midwife, I’ve tried pregnacare, bassets and asda/tesco own brand. Nothing seems to work🙈

I'm currently taking seven seas one I think that's how they are called anyway. Had problems while taking pregnacare as well. Maybe try these ones?

You could stop the multivitamin if it’s making you sick. Tends to cause sickness in a lot of women for some reason. Just get vitamin D as that’s the only one that’s really needed at this stage.
I’m still sick daily but not due to tablets although I do sometimes struggle with taking my aspirin when I’m already feeling sick xx

Mine make me feel nauseous when on an empty stomach, not sure if that has much to do with it x

Thanks girls I’ll try the seven seas one and if no luck I’ll just take vitD 💘xx

Are you taking them on an empty stomach? Both of those can be pretty tough on an empty tummy.

I found it definitely improved taking them at the same time I was eating breakfast, on an empty stomach the nausea was unreal

never on an empty stomach! Can’t even have a glass of water on an empty stomach xx

another thing you could try is taking them in the evening before bed? Then hopefully if you do get nauseas, you’re asleep and won’t know much about it.
I saw a lot of people say they felt sick taking Pregnacare. Hopefully trying a new brand will sort it.
Feeling sick all of the time is just so horrible!

I’ll give it a try thank you! Xx

I’m 21w too and was literally throwing my tablets up in the mornings and realised it was because I needed to take them on a full stomach! After eating and taking them I’ve had no issues xx

I was also very sick in the beginning with my vitamins. Have you tried the gummy bear ones?

With the aspirin, I'm taking dispersible 75g ones in a bit if water and they taste next to nothing. Hope this helps!

I stopped taking the tablets at 14 weeks and just try to eat a healthy diet now. The most important is folic acid in the first tri. Iron tablets have always made me sick and as long as we take vitamin D (as it’s the winter) we should be fine I think - bit of course don’t take my word for it 😂

I take the seven seas vitamins and am also on 150mg aspirin daily BUT I take mine in the eve/night after a small supper, usually a cup of decaff tea and 2 ginger biscuits!

thanks for the advice girls! Will have to give them all a go🥰xx

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Worth the wait and pain. Baby girl arrived at 7:15 this am weighing 7lbs 6oz. She is so calm and chill.

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Growth scan

So had my 28 week midwife appointment- all good but after measuring bump- I’m now waiting on a scan within a few days as bump is measuring small I’m not worried as I am guessing a tape measure is hardly accurate but
For anyone who has been in a similar position- what was the outcome after the scan? Was the baby on the smaller side ?
Was baby measuring normal?

Thanks
