Probably tmi or gross but, you know if your little ones bits don’t get cleaned properly they get that discharge stuff all round there bits in the crevasses etc, well my daughter is really funny about having her nappy changed round other people she’s really conscious of herself and doesn’t like others looking at her, even as far as she won’t let anyone else wipe her nunny not even me or daddy she has to wipe it herself she’s fine with having her bum wiped obviously she hasn’t been wiping properly and I’ve been trying my hardest to wipe her too but she clamps her legs shut and pulls my hands away, I don’t know if it’s the feeling of being wiped or what but no matter what I try she won’t let me clean her, she’s only 3 and she manages to over power me so I am fully unable to clean it properly, she was pulling at her bits today when she was in the shower and I noticed that discharge stuff round her bits, I’ve tried to clean it away but with her not letting me I wasn’t able to, does anyone else struggle with this? And how did you managed to get them to understand how important it is to have it cleaned properly I don’t want her to get an infection or anything like that 😬😬

Toddlers are so infuriating sometimes when we’re only trying to do our best by them 😭😅 My daughter violently kicks and screams when I have to change her, she’s only 2 but I’m covered in bruises from the kicks but I just forcibly do it by holding her firm or asking someone else to clamp her legs open when we’re out as she needs to be cleaned and toddlers are stronger than they look. I wouldn’t just leave her to wipe herself at this point because she’s too young to understand and wouldn’t do it properly.
When we’re at home she’ll let me wash her with a peri bottle or a bidet while she’s sat on the toilet or a potty and doesn’t kick off so is that something you could try?
I would also go get seen by your GP just in case she’s got an infection and needs sorting in that sense x
Yeah daddy had to hold her legs open while I tried to clean it but I had her hands flying at me too and she managed to get free, I will have to invest in a peri bottle we have already made an appointment with her doctor to make sure she hasn’t already got an infection I always feel so bad when I have to force her to be cleaned because she screams the house down and cry’s she’s also taken up scratching so my arms and legs are covered in scratches from her anyone would think she was being murdered the amount she screams from it

I always joke that my neighbours probably think someone’s being murdered with how loud she is 😅 you can use any jug really, I just had my peribottle from after my pregnancy and I noticed she’d let me use it so just go with it now, she’s still a bit of a pain letting me pat her dry but as long as the urine and poop is cleaned off it’s not as bad if she still has a tiny bit of water as the nappy will wick it. I just realised you said your little is 3, do you think she’s ready to start potty training now?
She has only just turned 3 end of last month and she does potty training we have been doing it since 1 but every time we have put pants on her to see how she goes she has loads of accidents, she’s not ready to go no nappy yet we have tried pull ups too and she loved them to begin with we were doing pull ups in the day and normal nappy’s are night and she decided she doesn’t want to wear the nappy pants anymore, she pees and poos on the toilet and potty amazingly just hasn’t stopped with the accidents yet but we do go no nappy atleast once a week just to see if she’s ready for that and she’s not fully there yet Mabie I’ll try her jug that we use to wash her hair next time she goes toilet see if that helps thank you for the advice x
