I know every pregnancy is different but I Keep hearing baby doesn’t “engage” in your second pregnancy until Labour.
38 weeks, midwife said baby isn’t engaged but doesn’t expect them to be.
After having a feel and checking heartbeat, Baby is more on the right side with head tucked down.
Anyone else told this? And did Labour start naturally with your second?

I’m 38.5 weeks with my second and my babies been engaged since about 36 weeks according to my midwife appointments

Yeah I’m pregnant with my second and my midwife said babies after your first can come in and out of your pelvis more where your pelvis has already been stretched more from a previous baby. At my last appointment at 36 weeks he was only just in the tip of my pelvis so 1/5 engaged. Still pregnant at 38+4 so can’t answer the second bit

I’m 38 weeks today with my second, saw midwife this morning and she said baby is fully engaged and very low. At my 36 week appointment baby wasn’t engaged at all and was at the brim of my pelvis. She told me off for not having my bag packed as she said likely to be any day now but I’ll believe it when I see it😂 my first was engaged from very early on and I went to 40+4 so fully expecting to go overdue again and not letting myself get my hopes up. X

My boy was also my 2nd pregnancy, 1st was twins via c section. So they told me I may or may not engage right until the end as it technically would've been my 1st labour. He was also head down to the right side. I had another c section planned for him if he didn't come naturally before hand. He didn't engage or drop down far enough but my waters started trinkling at 35 weeks and he was born at 37 weeks
