So I'm 10 days pp, and every now and then I get bright red blood ( see pic sorry for the tmi) it's not all the time either it's just now and then and some days none. Most days it's just like brown and light pink.
Is this normal?

PP bleeding can be so irregular. I’m 19 days PP and it’s either nothing at all, brown, or bright red.

Really? I started panicking when I saw it. It seems to be more when I'm walking or driving

yes I have had this too whilst walking for long periods of time or when driving!!
But if you’re concerned ect contact your midwife xx

I've been discharged from the midwife but might contact them or the gp tomorrow x

It’s totally normal. When you’re more active the wound where the placenta was attached is aggravated and bleeds more. PP bleeding is totally irregular and can stop and start for up to 12 weeks post partum.

Makes me feel a little better, is it normal to get period pains with it as well?

yes as your uterus is still getting back to ‘normal’

OK that's good, I can't remember any of this with my first and everything seems to panic me at the moment x

don’t worry. I’m the same. My pregnancy & after birth is completely forgotten with my first & I’m now panicking with everything with my second!! X

the cramps are actually worse with second baby (and subsequent babies) compared to first one. I’m not sure why; but I’ve definitely found this and all the midwives have confirmed it to really common. Of course see your GP if you’re concerned but I think you’re having totally normal symptoms of PP xx
