Wake ups in night

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone else is going through the same issue. My LB is 2 years 3 months old always been a great sleeper. But seems last 2 weeks he is constantly waking up calling for mummy after a few hours after falling to sleep (he goes to bed at 7pm every night) he won't settle down until he gets into the spare bed with me but then is waking up at 6am (usually wakes up 7am) I know he has a bit of a cold but it's never bothered him before so I'm confused what it could be?? TIA xxx

No advice but my little boy has started this. Same age. Some nights sleeps fine and others wants comfort and our bed but always goes in his own bed to begin. I’ve used a sticker chart which has helped some nights.

Again no advice but my girl is back to sleeping terribly too

Yes 😫😫😫 same here. For about 10 nights so far. She screeeams and screams and my husband tries but she stands in the corner shouting and screaming at him for me until I go in and feed her (she still bf). It's exhausting. I've also got an 11 month old who still wakes 3-4 times a night and breastfeeds. No advice... just solidarity!

My LO has also started to wake up screaming for mommy, pushed his daddy out of the way just to get to me. He got that hysterical that he was shaking when I got to him but he stopped crying and cuddled up to me when I laid down next to him.

Tried leaving the room on multiple occasions but he usually wakes up and shouts mama in panic.
We're putting it down to separation anxiety but damn it's been draining me this week.

@Patricia I feel your pain my LB was screaming last night for me it was unreal. As soon as I got to him he was fine when cuddled up with me xx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.
