My little girl is 17 months old, lately she’s been coming up with red blotchy reactions which we didn’t know what from. My mum came to collect her today and when she got her back to her house she realised my daughter had red blotches around her mouth but also her hands and legs, her hand had the blotches and also swelling. The only thing she had at that time was cereal with cows milk (she’s had cows milk before and been fine however doesn’t really have it much now). The reaction on her hands and legs would have been from her playing in the milk and it also going onto her legs. My mum then tried her with rice pudding (after having some allergy medicine) later on in the day which contained milk and the same happened.
Can you randomly develop an allergy? Is this a dairy allergy?

I am afraid, yes, it could be. Children can develop an allergy at any point after safely consuming any food, specially when they don't get it as often as you mentioned.
Discuss it with your GP and try to seek support and follow up from a dietitian or allergy clinic.

thank you! I’ve been currently chasing the doctors because she’s definitely got an allergy to tomatoes but they’re refusing to test her but I’m definitely chasing this one up😩
