8 week jabs

My baby is having her first jabs next week and all I’ve seen are fussy babies after them. Has anyone’s baby had their jabs and not been too affected by them? At the moment she’s sleeping through the night really well and generally a happy, quiet baby so getting worried this is all going to go out the window!

My little girl just slept all afternoon and night afterwards - she was a little warm so had some Calpol but was back to normal pretty quickly ☺️

My little boy cried a lot when he got jabbed and nearly choked on the mouth solution but after some calpol and cuddles he just slept a lot over the next 24hrs

I have a very chilled out baby who sleeps through the night and she was fine!

She had slightly runny poo but other than that the routine didn’t change.
She was more tired than usual and cried a bit because of that but was soothed to sleep as soon as I clocked that it was tiredness and not pain :)

My little one is a very content, quiet baby. She had her jabs last week, she cried (so did i 😅), i gave her calpol immediately after. She was a little bit more sleepy than usual, and a bit unsettled during the night but the next day she was back to her usual content wee self!

My little girl was just really sleepy for 24 hours after and had one of the best nights sleep yet!!

My little boy was just very tired after his first jabs but still himself. No fussing... we gave calpol every 4 hours for the first 24 hours after the jabs and by the next morning he was back to normal.

My LO had his Saturday just gone, we haven’t noticed much change in him, he may be slightly fussier in the evening than normal but honestly, he’s done very well.

✋️
My boy slept well that day and he was so chilled I completely forgot to give him his calpol after the first dose

She cried her eyes out when jabbed. But was just a bit tired and didn’t drink as much the next two days. Had sloppy green nappies too but otherwise wasn’t too bad?!

My son just had his 2nd jabs and honestly he’s fine with them! The actual jab itself he has a meltdown (only natural really) but then he sleeps it off for the day with on/off naps and feeding. By the next day he seems normal just abit needy xx

Ah yes the poos were like explosions for a few days after but that was it xx

Avatar

My little girl cried when they did them for like 20 seconds. Then slept all afternoon and through the night, slightly warm so calpol given. But generally she wasn’t any different to usual.

If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

I bloody hate reflux!

How much milk would you say this is?( after a 6oz bottle) My 3 month old is bunged up, full of yet another cold and it's made her reflux worse.

She's already on gaviscon but that's the most shes ever spat up in one go. She's also been teething for the last few weeks too 🙄
