I am a little late to the game.
My daughter is only now starting to pop out teeth.
What do you use for your lo's? Amazon is overwhelming with all the different types.
Do i start with a finger brush or an actual toothbrush? Do I use toothpaste from the start or do I wsit until she is comfortable.

Always use an actual toothbrush.
Use fluoride toothpaste only as big as a grain of rice!
Get any kids size toothbrush, never the finger ones, dentist don’t recommend them! Brush 2 times a day! Your little one will probably fight you, but they’ll thank you down the road lol.
As soon as your little one pops teeth you should probably go to dentist! My son has 14 teeth and we’ve gone a few times! (Lip and tongue tie release included)

great to know! I actually have an appointment with the dentist in 3 weeks so I will see when they can start seeing my daughter.

We have the Dr.Browns giraffe, and because your LO is a year you can probably skip finger brush and go straight to real brush. It's ok to wait with toothpaste until they're comfortable with just the brush

I tried a finger toothbrush once just cuz it came with a pack of teething toys but not nice when they bite down!

We still use the finger brush and non-fluoride toothpaste. Out dentist had recommended not to use fluoride toothpaste until they understand they have to split it out. 1 year old is too young to do so.

I give the banana one to baby in his hands.. and while he's happily munching at it I use the silicone finger brush that comes with it.
