What is the best breast pump to buy?

I’m currently looking at either the Spectra S1/2 or the Momcozy s12

Does anyone have the reccomendations for the best one?

I have the motif Luna which is like the spectra (different but similar and I love having the battery version one so I’m not stuck by an outlet) and also the Willow go ( so also wearable) I recommend a regular pump. I don’t have as good of luck with the wearable and you can’t see if it’s working right during the pump and there’s really nothing discreet about being in the bra, you can definitely tell what’s going on. Also breast compressions during pumping are easier with a standard pump. Just get a pumping bra so you can be hands free.

I have both the spectra s2 and the momcozy s12 and i seem to only reach for the spectra because it drains me way more than the momcozy one. Also check and see if your insurance covers a breast pump! Mine covered my spectra 100%

I just got the momcozy s12. Haven’t used it yet but was looking for something I can use when on the go.
I’m getting a pump through my insurance. The options I was given actually weren’t the best options so I went with the medela pump in style.. so I’d check with insurance!

I have the s12 and I prefer the Willow go it’s more expensive but you can get it cheaper through insurance usually

I have the spectra s2 and momcozy 12 pro and use them both. If I was only to pick one, I would pick the spectra and get the s1 to be able to use it on the go. The spectra gets more milk and less parts to clean. I use the momcozy because I pump in the car sometimes but there are a lot of parts which make both cleaning and assembly a pain. I also use both because if parts to one aren’t clean yet, I’ll reach for the other 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have the spectra S1 and the Momcozy m5, and hands down the spectra is a lot better, it empties quicker and I get more, however the m5 is good and obviously a lot more portable so I definately use it if baby is being particularly needy or I need to head out 😊 but I've never tried the s12 so can't offer advice on this.

I ordered the momcozy s12 and I can't wait to use it. I love my spectra s2 as it is battery operated so you don't have to sit near a wall outlet and pump and it's portable and you charge it when you need to. My insurance covered my spectra but with the battery operated one I had to pay a copay on it as it was more expensive

Dummy

My baby has had a dummy since about 2 weeks old (now 5 months) and over the course of the last month we weaned her off it during the day only for naps and night (which was fine) and then 5 days took it completely away during the day.

The first day no dummy was fine, the second bit rougher. But now it feels impossible she just moans and cries all the time it takes ages for her to go down to sleep (she’s always been an amazing sleeper)

I thought it was meant to get better as time went on not worse. I’m at my wits end I dunno what to do.

Currently typing this as she screams uncontrollably in the car and I cry with her cos I can’t do anything.

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

Is this normal?

My 12m old is really funny with kids going near him, he’s always been this way, but anytime family’s kids sit next to him or head his way he moans or cries and moves away. He also really observes them and is never really relaxed, always looking over his shoulder. Has anyone experienced this? (He’s starting nursery properly tomorrow so hoping this helps) but is this normal?

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

4 month sleep regression

Does anyone else feel like they’re back in the newborn trenches through the 4 month sleep regression ?? 😭😭 my boy turned 4 months yesterday and the past 3 nights he’s woken up every 20-40 minutes. He does manage to get back off to sleep after I give him his dummy. It’s so strange though because his daytime naps don’t seem to be affected? He has 2 x long naps a day (around 2 hours) and a couple 30-40 minutes here and there and seems fine during them, it’s just his night time sleep! I read it can last for 6 weeks, I pray it doesn’t because I am shattered 🤣🤣
