I need to know I’m not alone 🫣😢

My baby will not sleep independently
Shes 7 month still in our room won’t go in next to me anymore seems like we wake her in the night but then there are nights where she just will not stay asleep when we put her down in the crib, she won’t go down drowsy so we put her down when asleep and she then wakes up and gets giddy so now yet again she is in my bed and partner on sofa downstairs 😢 how do I get this sorted… getting her room ready for this weekend but i dont think we have a chance with her going in there🫣😩

You just need to try be strong with it. Put some baby white noise on. There’s a 10 hour loop one on YouTube. Put it on whilst she’s going to sleep and leave it on all night. She seems very attached to put a small clothe that has your smell on it in the bed with her so she feels close xx

This has been happening to me too, routine is completely out of the window, all naps are being on me during the day and putting him down is very difficult, he used to sleep in his travel cot/Moses basket or his bedside sleeper fine but now he knows as soon as he’s off me

Your babies are going through some sleep regression. My little one is just coming out of it. It can last for about a week or 2-3 weeks. Just stay strong ladies it gets better ❤️

My little girl on the dot every night is waking up at 3 and will not go back to sleep unless she’s in with us! She’s never co slept ever! But this last week we’ve needed to as she will just not settle again past 3. Goes down amazing and stays asleep until 3 but then at 3 it’s like someone has switched my baby 😂

you can have the best routines in the world and still have a baby that won’t sleep. I definitely can vouch for this. I’m oh the dot with my little girl- she’s in such a good routine but will not sleep through x

She went in her crib asleep last night within an hr she woke up crying and wouldn’t go bk in it im not sure what is going on? 😭

agreed but my baby can self settle and she does for every nap- but at night no matter how hard I’ve tried it’s a different ball game. I’m just getting at that when people ask for advice it’s not always helpful to talk about routine as there’s an assumption there isn’t one and as a very tired mummy this does hit a nerve x

Dummy

My baby has had a dummy since about 2 weeks old (now 5 months) and over the course of the last month we weaned her off it during the day only for naps and night (which was fine) and then 5 days took it completely away during the day.

The first day no dummy was fine, the second bit rougher. But now it feels impossible she just moans and cries all the time it takes ages for her to go down to sleep (she’s always been an amazing sleeper)

I thought it was meant to get better as time went on not worse. I’m at my wits end I dunno what to do.

Currently typing this as she screams uncontrollably in the car and I cry with her cos I can’t do anything.

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

Is this normal?

My 12m old is really funny with kids going near him, he’s always been this way, but anytime family’s kids sit next to him or head his way he moans or cries and moves away. He also really observes them and is never really relaxed, always looking over his shoulder. Has anyone experienced this? (He’s starting nursery properly tomorrow so hoping this helps) but is this normal?

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

4 month sleep regression

Does anyone else feel like they’re back in the newborn trenches through the 4 month sleep regression ?? 😭😭 my boy turned 4 months yesterday and the past 3 nights he’s woken up every 20-40 minutes. He does manage to get back off to sleep after I give him his dummy. It’s so strange though because his daytime naps don’t seem to be affected? He has 2 x long naps a day (around 2 hours) and a couple 30-40 minutes here and there and seems fine during them, it’s just his night time sleep! I read it can last for 6 weeks, I pray it doesn’t because I am shattered 🤣🤣
