Has anyone else had to have a C-section due to cervical lip/swollen cervix?

I ended up having an emergency C-section because a portion of my cervix was swollen (also called a cervical lip). My baby was sunny side up and putting pressure so the swelling couldn't go down. Honestly it was a really tough labour all the way to 10cm before having to go for the C-section.

My question is, if you have had this kind of thing happen, do you think It's something that tends to repeat or is there a hope for a VBAC next time? In many ways my C-section has left me feeling robbed, I did all the work to get to that point and then didn't get to have the delivery I wanted. I would love to hold out some hope for a VBAC in the future.

I didn't have that specific issue, but I did get all the way through a 40 hour labor and 4 hours of pushing and ended with a C-section so I commiserate with the feeling of being robbed. I hope that you get whatever birth you're hoping for in the future

I laboured for 44 hours and got to 10cm,, i had 13 vaginal exams in just 10 hours my cervix was like a balloon by the end of it baby couldnt even try to get through then had major decels.
I struggled to bond with baby for while tbh like obviously i loved him for the second he cried but it took a long time to feel like his mum i couldnt hold him until we got to the ward and then we was in and out of the hospital once we finally got home i didnt produce any milk at all so i couldnt BF however next baby will definitely be an elective section i am genuinely traumatised from VEs

I laboured for 136 hours before my emergency c section I only got to 2.5cm ...and when I got into the c section room the numbing didn't work ,it only worked on one portion of my body so I was put to sleep ,for my future pregnancys I will have to have a C section with general anesthesic as my body doesn't respond the way it should 💕

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Hey what are your current symptoms?

I’m 37+5

I’m pretty mobile still but anything over a hour or 2 and I’m in discomfort

Getting up from a sitting position is hard

Some of baby’s movements now are bordering on painful especially around my crotch/pelvis

I’m exhausted very easily and nap every single day

Can basically only breathe out my mouth now and I’m snoring and dribbling 😂

Standing in one leg is very painful 😂

Some waves of pain/ tightening but I regular and mild

Low period type aches

And I feel like a fire breathing dragon with this acid reflux

My nose is growing 😂

My fingers swell slightly and go numbs in my sleep so that and constant toilet breaks keep me up ( checked swelling with MW and consultant and all normal, not a worry)

I also do not want to be social in person like I’d rather everyone just be my penpal atm lol

What are your symptoms?

I have a feeling like I might get attacked from this but I’m going to say it anyways. incognito 🥸 GLP1s being mainstream for regular people who are NOT diabetic or morbidly obese is bad for so many reasons 💉💉💉

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

Baby movements

I’m 19 weeks and some. I keep hearing about people feeling their babies move about now. I’ve googled it and it says not to worry but I seem to be the only person not feeling my baby. Is there anyone else around 19 weeks who hasn’t felt anything?
