My little girl is 9 weeks old, and she’s just upped her ounces to between 4.5-5.5 per feed, and is feeding every 3-4 hours during the day. However, on a night, she going a good 5 hours after her last bottle before waking for the next feed, however, on this one, she’s only taking about 3 ounces…any more than that and she’s been sick 🤢 she’s then sleeping for another 3-3.5 hours before waking for her next feed…just wondering if anyone else’s LO is needing less milk during the night feed? Seems like it’s the time she should need more as she’s going longer between feeds!

Currently sat having this same problem. We’ve just gone up to 6 ounces at 8 weeks old yet during the night he’s only drinking about 3/4 ounces and spits a lot back up

Yeah this is common, I was talking to my health visitor about it. She said it's how it should be, babies need a certain amount of milk during 24 hours and they should get the majority of it during the day. Hope this helps x

The idea is that they have more in the daytime to stack their calories for night time 😊 my BF baby is nearly 8 weeks, she feeds all day and goes to sleep 11/12 latest and I feed her once around 5am so she has a good first stretch of sleep and then again around 8am. X

Got a 6 week old LG. Drinks 5oz every 3 -4 hours in the day then does a 5oz every 2 hours before bed (as in between the last two feeds) OR takes a big one on second to last feed of the day then sometimes a smaller one on last feed bit then sleeps 6-8 hours xx

I’m breastfeeding but having the same experience. Baby is almost 8weeks and slept 3 hours, then woke and only fed on one boob for 5 mins then went back to sleep for 4 hours.
It makes me think surely that’s not enough to keep her going but if she was hungry or unhappy she would be waking up and letting me know so I’m just rolling with it 😁

same with my little one x

My LO os 8 weeks in 2 days and upped his feed to 4oz a few weeks back. But recently he takes what he wants which varies between 2-4oz throughout the day and night. Health visitor said this is fine and it's on demand feeding. He's packing on weight perfectly and healthy so carry on as he wants.

My LG is 9 weeks on Monday, she has 5 6oz bottle during her day (3-4 hours apart) and sleeps through the night 9:30 - 8am) I offer her at 8oz bottle first thing in the morning bottle and she only ever has the 6oz!

Same here, my LO is 9 weeks 6days. She feeds during the day and she’ll sleep throughout the night.

@Annabelle @Penina Vuwai how did you get your LO's to sleep through the night... my LO is only hitting 8 weeks but I pray for the day he sleeps through the night! Help! Lol
