I have an almost 5mo LG who has been a fairly good sleeper up until the last month.
She goes to bed at 7-730 after bedtime routine, we then do a dream feed at 10pm and she’ll sleep up 130am. She then wakes a few times for 5 mins at a time for her dummy to be put back in until about 3am. After 3am she is then waking crying, once she is finally settled she will be put back in cot and wake again crying 5 mins later, this goes on until we get up for the day. Which means my day now starts at 3am pretty much!
Really not sure what to do, the room is a consistent temperature, we change her nappy when she wakes, she doesn’t seem hungry/ in pain with teething, we have tried nightlight on and then pitch black, she has white noise which she has had since birth.
Any advice would be amazing! Thanks! Xx

When she is waking between 1:30-3am, is she crying or just chatting? My LG who is nearly 5months old, was waking twice a night for about 15-25mins max and was just rolling around and chatting and then would put herself back to sleep. I noticed if I went in she would be awake for way longer and eventually cry, but if I just watched her on the monitor, she would eventually go back to sleep. It lasted about 2 weeks and she is finally back to sleeping through. If she is happy during those wake ups, maybe try leaving her?
We were also told that unless she had done a poo, we didn’t have to change nappy overnight. This definitely helped keep her asleep longer/not wake up as much.
As for the 3am onwards, that sounds rough! I have no advice for that but hang in there!

Thanks so much. She’s not crying between 130-3am, more like a moaning as though she’s trying to settle herself. But I’ll definitely give that a go and leave her to see if she will go back off to sleep without me going in.
Yes changing her nappy definitely does make her more awake and she doesn’t have nappy rash or sensitive skin or anything so may try leaving her nappy until the morning.
Thanks so much!
