Hi all! Need help I’m about to start feeding baby she’s at the age where I’d like to give her foods - I’m still unsure how to wean off breastmilk,
I would like to stop breastfeeding at one year so far she’s near six months, and idk how much she should be drinking from now until then. But i also don’t know whether she’s only allowed to eat purée? When to introduce solids and what food combos or where to find food combos etc yo less the baby eating journey! So overwhelmed!

Remain breastfeeding as usual she will drink what she wants. The first year solids is not the main source if nutrition. You can start with purees or baby led weaning. We were not quite ready for BLW so we started with 1 ingredient purees. Try 1 food at a time wait a few days to try a new food. Start with a thinner puree and work tiur way up to thick.

I second the not stopping breastfeeding, my LO is formula fed and since we started food she has naturally began drinking less milk. I’d say offer breast first then an hour later do food. We went straight into baby led weaning but also do a little purée on the side to allow for different texture exposure.
