Needing a bottle to sleep

My 15 month old has always had a bottle right before taking naps or going to bed for the night. My husband or I will hold him, give him his bottle, and then lay him down. I would like to break this habit and be able to just read him a book and then lay him down. I know he'll probably cry at first but I'd rather not just take the bottle away completely. It's a comfort thing for him. Does anyone have any suggestions or have stories about what you did?

My 15 month old is the exact same way. I have read that people give their LO's mill earlier in the night, before bedtime.. and then read a book and rock them at bed time..

Same with my daughter. I give her a bottle while I hold her in the rocking chair in her room. She’ll fall asleep then I’ll put her in her crib. I think I’m gonna try giving her the bottle downstairs on the couch then bring her upstairs to change her diaper and just put her in her crib

Also following. This is a tough one. I feel like between teething, travel for the holidays, and switching daycares, and now finally(!) moving him into his own room, we've thrown a lot of changes at our LO recently, and I'm very nervous to introduce another change. Would love to know what's worked for people.

We struggled with this up until she turned 12mo. She was EBF until then but we switched to whole milk once she turned one. Something that helped us was having a consistent nap and bedtime routine. She drinks milk twice a day (breakfast and an hour before bedtime). For naps, we read her a book and leave her room immediately after. Sometimes, she gets out of her bed, grabs a book and takes it to her bed until she falls asleep on her own (2 hour nap). For bedtime, she drinks milk at 7pm, we take her potty, give her a bath, brush her teeth, she says goodnight to daddy and I take her to her room at 8pm. Because she knows it’s time for bed, she gives me a hug, I tuck her in bed and she falls asleep within 5 mins of me leaving the room. At first, she would wake up around 3am asking for milk but I started offering her water instead and she realized it wasn’t worth waking up for it.

I feel like with any change you have to just do it. My 15mo would have a bottle before bed but was peeing through every night so I moved it earlier. He fusses without something to do but mostly bc he’s tired. A story and pacifier work fine for him without needing the bottle.

Update: I read him a book for his nap today and laid him down without a bottle and he went right to sleep. He had a sippy cup of milk while he played before his nap. Seemed to be enough for him.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
