Is this the start?!

Hey!

This afternoon about 3pm, I started getting on and off, very dull backache that wrapped around to my stomach, between every 7-20 minutes (very sporadic). I feel exhausted, have been 💩 a few times, and having tightenings, although not consistent with my pains oddly.

I haven’t noticed a mucus plug, but have had a lot of increased mucusy discharge over the last few days, and when I stand up I feel like she falls into my pelvis and presses on my bladder.

All very strange symptoms but could they be the start? I’ve had braxton hicks since about 28 weeks and it does not feel like that at all….

I am trying not to get my hopes up as this is my first and I’m only 38+3 but any mammas experienced the same? I know it’s so hard cos every woman is so different as are their experiences.

I have been the exact same here, I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and this is my second, with my first I had nothing like this just one false alarm about a week before and then the day my little one was born I woke up with contractions and lost mucus plug. This time I’ve been in really bad pain with period like cramps for like 3/4 days now and then yesterday I started to have really bad back ache couldn’t sleep and then it stopped about 5 am came back at about 11 with a strong Braxton hicks and then just been the same all day. I’m so exhausted and just want to give birth now so let’s hope it’s soon for both of us!

It’s the start!! Take it from 2nd time mummy who just had her second on 02/01/24!!!.

I had the exact same symptoms and it wasn’t until the second or third day I was like hey this could be it. When I went to triage and the checked me out- I was 2cm and as I was due the next day I was kept in.

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?
