Has anyone tried there little one with potato smiles or waffles yet?
I’ve been mixed weaning with lo mainly having baby jars for tea however I want to start giving the things we’re having for tea with smiles or waffles to chomp on as we don’t each chips. Is that okay at this age ?

Salt content is too high if you factor it in over a day. Personally I wouldn’t give baby things like that until over a year but that’s my opinion. Have you thought about chopping up a sweet potato or a parsnip and cooking until soft (20 minutes) and having those sorts of chips ?

No not yet really, as Stephanie says the salt is too high. If we're having chips, I just peel and cut up some spuds, add a little oil and black pepper and roast for 30-40 mins. We even ended up just doing chips like that anyway, even once my daughter became a toddler! We didn't really start giving her frozen chip type things till she was 2.5
I’ve research it and 2 smile faces have the same amount of salt in as one piece of bread without crusts.
I wouldn’t consider it if they had to much salt in but I would only give 1 or 2 for now anyway
Personally I don’t like the idea of using the things you’ve stated as I tend to already but these on the plate in other forms
Thank you for your opinion
