so my daughter goes to physical therapy and I haven’t been able to go to any for the past few weeks and they just called to basically kick us out and look at “home health” where the PT comes to the home but she’s gotten so used to her physical therapist ya know? but her PT seems annoyed by me not bringing her and I just am angry a little and feel like a horrible mom cause I don’t have a car and usually i’m able to show up on time because her dad was helping me and now he’s not providing child support now and it’s just me and im frustrated because my daughter makes progress with people she’s COMFORTABLE with . it takes her a while to get comfortable and you’re JUST NOT offering at home therapy. that should have been a thing from JUMP. now she might decrease in progress because of the gap and i’m just mad

I’m sorry you’re going through this! Speaking from experience, most likely your insurance company is kicking you out of outpatient therapy since she hasn’t been coming. The actual therapists at the clinics probably don’t have a choice either. Home health might honestly be the better option. Yes, it might momentarily slow her progress but at least she’ll be getting consistent therapy from here on out. Missing a few weeks of therapy has probably not helped the progress either so once you get established and comfortable with the new therapist it’ll be better in the long run. It might be a blessing in disguise. I wish you and your daughter all the best!

Ask them for a print out of all the PT she has done with them, and do it home! No need to pay someone else… you have a right to the papers as youve already paid for them. I don’t know your babes situation but you should be able to find the proper exercises online
