Following because im wanting to get an iud. Has been recommended before pregnancy with endometriosis for me.

I had to have mine removed because it got lodged in my cervix and then had to have a D&C and my cervix stitched (I had it put in at 4weeks pp) :(
did you have any symptoms?

Had mine inserted at 6 weeks pp, bleed for a couple of days, and stopped. I'll have some cramping here and there, but it's been two weeks, and no further issues

Got the iud and had really heavy bleeding for maybe 2-3 weeks and about 4 weeks later was in sooooo much pain and I usually have a high pain tolerance but I was doubled over crying unable to move. The cramping was atrocious and I went pee and felt something come out and looked down to see a ton of blood and a giant blood clot and I looked closer at the blood clot bc I saw something sticking out of it and it was my iud. It dislodged and came out on its own. My doctor asked if I wanted one at my 6 week visit and I said no chance I will be getting another lol. The iud is not my favorite personally but I also know a bunch of people that have them and love them so much. The bleeding also depends on if it was the hormonal iud or copper iud. The copper iud tends to make you bleed more. Both can make you bleed for long periods of time for the first few months though. It’s normal for it to be longer than you typically bleed and for bleeding to be very irregular.

Yes I was cramping bad with heavy bleeding
