Soemthing weird just happened 😮

I’ve avoided sleeping on my back for 9 months. I just woke up on my back and my body went all weird. Like shakey, soon as I turned over back on my side I went ok now I’m sat here like the anxiety freak I am and wondering what’s just happened 🤔. I feel fine.
I’m 39 weeks 1 day.

Thank you x

Don’t fret, you’re ok now. Lying on your back may compress a major blood vessel that takes blood to your uterus, making you feel dizzy and possibly reducing blood flow to your fetus.

will I be ok? Baby is moving. I’ve never done that before I’ve hardly been sleeping and this time I slept what I thought was doing well and this happened now I’m worried to sleep 🤷

You will be fine now as the blood flow has returned . Your body woke you for a reason so don’t worry , it will wake you every time. Try to sleep on your side that’s all x

usually i do. I fell asleep on my side I don’t know how I ended up on my back 🙈 I hope the baby’s ok 🙈. I’m 39 weeks he’s moving. I’m so paranoid I’m sorry 😔. Never had this before xx

quoted from NHS website; “Do not worry if you wake up on your back – the research looked at the position pregnant people fell asleep in, as this is the position we keep for longest. If you wake up on your back, you can just turn over and go to sleep again on your side.”

Just monitor your baby movements for assurance. Drink water and lay on the side 😊 my OB mentioned as ling as I feel the movement it should be good

The body is an amazing thing - the advice is to sleep on your side as the back restricts blood flow to baby but it sounds like your body woke you up before anything happened. Just keep an eye on it and if you’re really worried, you can always call triage. Do not worry though - you need your sleep at this stage and sounds like baby is doing fine! You’ve got this mumma ❤️

So sorry, I fell back asleep! Yes you’ll be fine, I often wake up on my back. It’s all about how you go to sleep as others have said ☺️

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet driving them mad?? It goes off 5/6 times night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off! Anyone had similar issues?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.
