Has anyone fed actual solids to a 7 month old? I have been giving my 7 month old pureed since 4 months (once I was told by her pediatrician), and she has been doing fine, but I am terrified to give her anything else besides pureed since I’m afraid she will choke. Her teeth are finally starting to come out so I didn’t feel the need to rush but I just wanted some tips

Yes!! My 7 month almost 8 month old has been eating everything under the sun for solids. It’s definitely overwhelming and I have tons or recipes. Feel free to message me!

Of*

Download the solid starts app! Total life saver. It specifies how everything should be cooked and modified at each age and stage, also gives helpful tips and advice for preventing choking and how to handle it.
Honestly my baby eats almost everything we eat, just modified.

Yep my son loves PB toasted crackers and pretty much will try anything if momma's eating it too lol some things he will melt down I've if he just sees em 🤣 he is definitely a foodie

I’ve been giving our girl whatever we eat since 6 months old. She’s done great. She’s 8 months now and still no teeth but she ways solid just fine. Their gums are pretty hard. I give her purees when we’re having something spicy or something with honey or something that wouldn’t be easy to feed her. I’ve been using the solid starts app as a guide on how to prepare food for her.

Yes, Following the only solid thing My kid had was French Fries 😂

We do BLW so we've been giving her a baby safe version of whatever it is we're having. She loves having pancakes or waffles with us in the morning and pretty much any fruit. Use the app Solid Starts for info on how to serve specific foods safely.

Following my 7 month old only has had purées

Yes! Solid starts app!

We did purées and whole solids at 16 weeks . My son is now 8 months and eats exactly what i eat

Never did purée foods. Strictly BLW, so yes, my son has been eating what I eat since 6 months old.

My baby has zero teeth but his gums are really hard, he can chew everything! The only thing we don’t give him is salty stuff and hard crunchy stuff like chips/popcorn/nuts. He eats everything! I’m also really amazed because sometimes he’ll break off a big chunk of something and he just spits it out. It’s a bit scary to watch at first but it’s instinct for them.
I’m also quite confident in CPR/the heimlich because I’ve been a nurse for 8yrs so I think that helps me stay calm. Check out a course if possible!

Yes! My 7 month old has no teeth yet but she gets a little bit of everything that we sit down and eat!

My baby eats crackers ,cookies pancakes hash browns, smiles (like French fries) and more she has 2 bottom teeth but chews with her gums

I have not quite yet! Don’t feel rushed. With every meal we have I give her small bites of whatever I feel is safe, just very little, and anything I offer we make sure it doesn’t have too many spices or salt, but her main source is still purées and milk. You can always mix some table food with her purées as well. Every child is different I’m sure you’ve heard this alot, move to more table food when you feel your baby is ready.

Try hummus, scrambled eggs, air fryer sweet potatoes (just squish before giving to baby), turkey deli meat, pancakes
