Hi, my baby is 6mo and I’ve started weaning. He can’t sit up by himself. Can I still sit him in a high chair?

Bumbos are really good as a precursor to a high chair while they learn to sit up.

Try it, if baby seems stable then they should be fine, if they’re trying to sit forward and then kinda falling over to the left or right, they’re not ready and imo you should sit them on your lap when you feed them until they can support themselves better while sitting

They don’t need to sit unaided. As long as they don’t slump to the side.
You could try rolling up a towel and placing it around the edge of the inside of the chair to give more support.
It’s better that they sit unaided for BLW for purées it’s not a necessity as the early stage purées are so thin.
If you want to do BLW I’d wait until they can sit unaided.

Yeah, just put rolled towels on the sides and you can put a book or something else on the foot rest so the baby can reach it and sits with knees 90 angle. I watched someone’s videos on YouTube go to prepare the high chair for a baby who still need some help
