No but my baby naturally falls into this routine anyway and for the past two weeks has been having really awful night sleep!! Literally on the brink of exhaustion šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« before this, she’d go to bed at 7, feed at 10pm and then back to sleep with usually one more waking for a feed at 4/5… back to sleep then until 7/8. So yeah, this routine was working really well until we were hit with the regression!

My worry with this sort of thing is what flexibility it gives you if you want to see someone or do something, does it provide for that?

yeh she sometimes is later then that

Night time blanket, White nosie, same routine just skip the bath xx

This works for our little one most of the time. for us, we are very routine based and were like this for our first too. My partner and I just made a choice to sacrifice the first 12-15 months of each baby’s life and giving up certain meet up’s and events in return for great sleep! For us it’s 100% worth it, but definitely does take away any type of flexibility as you noted. We would rather stick to a routine and deal with a well rested baby and get a full night sleep temporarily then an over tired, unrested baby. I do know many friends whose babies are really good at sleeping on the go so they have the flexibility and good night sleep but we are just not willing to find out šŸ˜‚ By the time they’re a little over 1 year old you can be more flexible so one year goes by super fast and we are sticking with our routines 😊

It feels wrong to wake baby at night šŸ˜‚ my LB is in a very similar routine to this (of his own accord) but I don't wake him at 11pm to feed. He usually wakes around 4am for a feed, I have wondered if feeding at 11pm would mean sleeping through but afraid to risk it

Avatar

I tried the waking up fully for the 10/11pm feed rather than dream feeding and hated myself as soon as I did it, he was awake for an hour after the feed babbling away and made no difference to his waking up times

Avatar

@Laura yeah this would be my hesitation

We do the dream feed at 10pm but don’t wake my little one!

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

My daughterā€˜s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look ā€œsmallā€ at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
