Tell me it’s not just my baby? 😞 I love how my 6
week LO bonds with his dad and it’s adorable to see him put such a big smile when he sees dad’s face, I just wish he did it for me too. Interestingly he looks so much like my husband too, he basically took nothing from me, and I wonder if this has something to do with it. I’m so desperate to get even the slightest cue that he likes me… I read about moms complaining their babies are too clingy and I’m sitting here hoping he starts to show he needs me at least a bit 💔
I miss pregnancy days when I felt like one with him and wish this bond carried through after birth 😔

There are some cases where the father’s stress levels are lower that the mother and that looks like the prefer them because of that. But it’s a phase - mother’s body is going through a lot when recovering from birth and your body’s stress lever are higher. And that’s temporary. Mother child bond is something special. 😇😇

Your baby loves you I promise! but I have struggled with this too - babies build different relationships with their mums and dad's, they think of us as part of them, always there and ready to care for and feed them and dad is there to play because this is the main thing they can do to bond... my husband is getting more smiles now but I got the first one,I get those private smiles when I'm feeding her and when she wakes up in the morning she's happy to see me 😊❤️ we are 12 weeks in and our baby has only begun smiling consistantly in the last few weeks and whilst she's giving him a lot, I am getting play time smiles more often now but just focusing more on our special mummy baby bond and being happy for her bonding with her dad
