Cleaning next2me crib

I got a second hand next to me crib, and some of the fabric unzips so can go in the wash but the main body cannot be removed.

I have some Milton tablets I got as a free samples and was wondering whether I can dilute them down and give the crib a good wipe down with that solution to make sure it’s nice and clean. Anyone else done something similar?

Following as I was thinking to do this too, also for the pram and car seat - either with a diluted Milton tablet or diluted fairy non-bio liquid detergent 🤔

Absolutely can use Milton tablets, they're also great for soaking messy clothes in once baby gets here to remove stains!

The only important thing is that which the baby sleeps on. As long as you get a brand new mattress and sheets you will be fine (as long as you can’t smell cigs or anything in which case I would lob). Along with a good wipe down with Milton tabs and all good!

Hi I also got a second hand chicco next to me and just cleaned yesterday. You can detach it all and put in the wash. I took mattress and board out.
You then just need to unzip around the edges and remove the poles.
And the long plastic bit. I then put in washing machine and all good.

mine is a tutti and can only remove the inside. The outer fabric doesn’t remove unfortunately 😣

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.
