Hello ladies, I’m 39 weeks today and I’ve been into DAU today as my baby’s movement pattern changed from big stretching movements to smaller wriggly movements. The monitoring came back fine but since I’m 39 weeks or above the nurses sent me to the consultant who recommended an induction asap to rule out any issues they can’t see. I declined the induction as I don’t have any other risk factors and I want to avoid a cascade of interventions, so they booked me for a scan tomorrow to check fluid, placenta etc. Even if the scan is fine though I’m wondering if I should just go ahead with the induction.
Just curious if anyone else has been down this path and what did you end up doing?

I experienced a change in baby’s movement, but I also went for a scan as his growth had seemingly slowed and they agreed that seemed to be the case, and identified that my fluid had increased more (I already had mild polyhydraminos)
I also had a couple of days where my blood sugars went a bit out of whack.
I appreciate that there was a lot more going on than just changes to movement, and it was the combination of factors that led me to agree to an induction. But I think in your shoes I would have done the exact same thing- waiting for more info from a scan before making a decision.

I went in Thursday night for reduced movements and was offered induction and they had a space open up that night so I took it. Was induced at 4am with the propess that stayed in for 24 hours but only dilated me 1cm so wasn’t enough to break my water. Was gonna give me a break before trying another pessary bit my water broke on its own after an hour. Had my baby at 11.28pm on the Saturday night via forceps delivery and needing stitches all the way down, had an epidural; 2 things I didn’t really want in my birth plan, it was painful and long but I’m laying here with my baby now and honestly it’s worth any amount of extra pain to me to know that I didn’t wait because my body told me something didn’t feel right. Also found out after giving birth was having high proteins in my urine and pcr came back at 200
