I’ve been having a lot of problems with lower back pain and sciatica down my left leg, it’s really painful and uncomfortable. Only in my first trimester, but I suspect in my case my neurological condition is playing a part in it, as I have issues with mobility in my left leg anyway.
In the short term, alternating between hot and cold compresses can help relieve inflammation, while laying on your back, gently pull your knee up to your chest as far as you can (obviously dependant on how pregnant you are) to get a stretch through the hip, and although it’s likely painful, move around as much as you can. Just gentle walking around your house or garden, nothing too strenuous.
Definitely talk to your gp or midwife as soon as possible. They will be able to help you with pain management and better diagnose the problem. Also, not to scare you, but if you get any numbness in your saddle area (groin & inner thighs) go straight to a&e. Hope this helps x

I had it in first pregnancy, it still bothers me now after my second. It did get better though, a lot. I also had physio and they said it can take 12 months of stretching the nerve with the exercises to see improvement x
