Hi 😊 want to be prepared for whenever we start potty training our little boy and have a question: is it best to go with a seat for the toilet or an actual potty?
Also does anyone have any other general advice/tips they'd be happy to share? I am going to buy the "Oh Crap!" Potty training book too.
TIA x

I’d suggest a toddler seat for your regular toilet so it’s the most realistic and feels like real toilet rather than toddler mini toilet chair on the floor. I also got a traveling folding seat for my son and take it with me when we are on the go/traveling.

We went straight to an attachment on the toilet, one with a step and handles attached so that she could do it all herself, my daughter always wants to be ‘grown up’ so that really helped and also she never had any issue using public bathrooms because we had skipped the potty. My biggest advice personally would be to wait until they are older 2.5 - 3 years old. You barely have to do a thing if they are ready, my daughter ‘trained’ in two days with no need for days inside, rewards, timers etc etc
Perfect, thank you both so much!
