Why the **** is my son awake?!

It’s friggen 3 am my sons currently in his playpen chatting away
In so irritated man
He’s always been a shite sleeper, we had one month where he was so good in his crib then back to awful
He started teething and was awful
He’s wake up every 15 minutes for hour or two stretches then do an hour straight then repeat
It got to the point where he’d cry and cry until I picked him up then sleep for 30mins-1hr and do it again c
I don’t believe in cry it out….
I eventually broke and just started bringing him to bed cuz I need sleep
But the last two nights he’s woken up around 1-2 am and does an entire wake window
He falls asleep but wakes back up and refuses to go back
🥲

Yea I get irritated to sometimes when it’s the middle of the night but it’s ok just chill or play with him so he can get tired again

Have you tried a projector light? We got a cheap one that does a galaxy of lights on the ceiling. It helps for early wake ups and keeps my son occupied which will also send him to sleep again xx

he was up at one and didn’t go back to bed until 430
It’s irritating af because he fell asleep but kept waking himself up like why
He does this so often it’s infuriating!!!

we have that! He likes it so much he won’t sleep! Then I tried last night to keep him occupied and he started screaming and wouldn’t stop until we left the bedroom 🤦🏽‍♀️

I'd look at daytime sleep. He doesn't have enough sleep pressure if he keeps waking up so early and stays awake. It may be time to drop a nap or cap his daytime sleep under a certain amount of hours. Or it's time to push bedtime back to accommodate his wake windows.

Depending how old he is he needs to drop a daytime nap from 3 to 2 naps a day or 2 to 1 nap a day. Also don’t use any light stimuli at night like the lady above said. No projectors and no tv or phone in front of him before bed. Another thing is he is probably going through a sleep regression since he is waking up randomly at night for no reason but does it around the same time every night and that just has to run its course I know it’s hard but that’s how it is when they’re babies. I dealt with the same thing with my baby and I understand your frustration even now my baby is very hard to put to sleep and she wakes up in the middle of her naps multiple times sometimes unless I stay in there with her and let her sleep on me and I get overstimulated and angry sometimes you just have to put them down let them cry for a minute then come back if you need a breather or just sit there and let them ramble on till you can try again

Avatar

he won’t stay in there he screams and screams until we remove him from the room entirely
We’ve tried letting him stay there but he won’t
So we’ve done zero stimulation still nothing
He’ll stay up the entire wake window regardless of what we do

Avatar

he sleeps 2.5 hrs during the day
If we drop a nap he falls asleep anyways despite us trying to keep him up
Bedtime is already 1030
Earlier bedtime results in false starts and he sleeps past 11 if we move bedtime up

Avatar

if we drop a nap he end up falling asleep which we think is for the night but it’s a false start and he wakes up and does an entire wake window anyways

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

I feel like just a milk cow

Hi I have a 16 day old via c section, I'm a FTM never having been around babies before as I am the youngest of my household and from a small family. My husband is fantastic with our little one. But ever since I've had the baby I just feel like the only thing I'm good for is producing milk. I feel disconnected from my husband like the only reason he's around is because am producing milk. We were having some issues before the baby and we're struggling it took a while to feel like he was onboard even though he said he was from the moment we found out. I dunno if I'm feeling like a spear part because I'm lacking confidence with baby or because I feel like he wouldn't mind being a single dad. Is this postpartum hormones or something else?
