Dont feel you need all the extra ‘stuff’ unless you want it- we dont have baby books or a tummy time pillow yet- my baby is 12 days old and its feed nappy cuddle sleep repeat no time for anything else yet lol. Also nappy bin may not be right for you, they can really smell, we just moved our big bin to the kitchen back door and put them out each time. Nappy cream is essential though if you dont have it. I would recommend stocking up on extra vests bibs and muslins as we have been washing them daily. Also nose frida snot sucker and calpol nose saline spray has been a lifesaver for us- because baby only gets a stuffy nose at 3am of course so could save you a stressful night at some point!

our changing table is upstairs so that’s why I thought about a nappy bin.
Ohh I have liquid talc and jelly I don’t think I have nappy cream 🙈. Which is best ? I have loads of vests, babygrows, bibs and muslins. Ohh where do I get a nose sucker I don’t have one of them. Need to get calpol though as don’t have that either. What is saline spray ?
Thank you for your input x

Bottle brush
Sudo cream
Sleeping bags
White noise machine/teddy if wanted
Baby monitors
Play mat
Toys
Highchair and plates/bowls spoons cups
Jumperoo

Ohh I have bottle brush, sleeping bags, am not doing white noise machine. I did think about doing the Ewan sheep thing but we decided not to. Just bought a baby monitor.
Ohh a playmat totally forgot about one of them
What kind of toys do you get them ?
We’re leaving high chair and jump room just now
X

You don’t need toys yet either , just incase you wanted to buy stuff ready as it comes round quickly. There’s things like sit me up also that after a few months you can get.
We got Ewan with my second and we absolutely love him so getting another for this baby 🤍

ah okay, give it a go then! I recommend having bepanthan and metanium nappy creams in case baby has nappy rash! The nose sucker you can order from boots or amazon, also order the extra filters as it only comes with three. You use it with the calpol saline drops (its the same brand as calpol the medicine but they are just drops you squirt up babys nose). If they have a cold or stuffed nose you squirt the drops and then use the sucker to suck out the snot (it stays in the tube dont worry lol) hopefully you wont need it but this time of year babies can get very stuffy and I had a panic during the night and these two products helped us to relieve her stuffy nose x

Little toys/ teethera they can hold, wrist and feet rattles are a good start but you won’t need just yet xx

ohh I have little sock and wrist rattle things. And I think 3 teether things. And a pram toy thing too. Thank you ☺️ x

aww thank you. Do you happen to have a link as am not to sure what am looking for 😂. Baby brain is definitely a thing 🙈xx

I did look into it. But for £40 I couldn’t justify it 😂 xx

Don't forget about the things that you will need postpartum as you'll be going through changes too with a new baby :) comfy pjs/clothes, good comfy pillow to support feeding, maternity pads, snacks etc. Look after yourself and let others look after you xx

thanks. I have all that. Comfy PJs was on my Xmas list 😂. I was just going to use my pregnancy pillow as am bottle feeding. Lots of pants and pads too xx

I wouldn’t be bothering with calpol yet tbh. You don’t need it till the 8 week imms! They can’t have it till then at the earliest anyway.
Saline spray is great - can get it from boots or even home bargains tbh!
Also don’t bother with a jumperoo or baby walker until baby is older as they are quite bulky and they can’t use them until they’re able to hold up their heads comfortably. The only thing I’d recommend toy wise at this stage is a play mat if I’m honest! Great for tummy time and great for stimulation. Baby bouncer or swing is great for being able to put baby down but deffo not essential

think it was a bit of a mix up, I was talking about the calpol branded saline spray for their nose 🥰

Good stuff, can't underestimate the power of good pjs 😊 xx

oh great! I’ve stocked up on all the toiletries but have a toddler so have been absolutely eating into the supply 🤣!
Saline spray is deffo must have though! Xx

we are leaving jumperoo and high chair and walker as you say it’s bulky and can’t use it for awhile. A few people have said ohh high chair am like no we don’t have space just now and they can’t use it for at least 6months or so. So going to wait. X

thank you. Will definitely have a look at this xx

I don’t blame you! We had a highchair before our first was born and storing it was a bit of a pain tbh!
We used our highchair for ages but have the Joie 6in1 and now just use the booster seat unless we’ve got loads of guests round! I’d highly recommend this highchair when you come to buy as it’s really versatile!
I wouldn’t worry too much - Amazon prime is a thing so anything you’ve missed that comes to light when baby is here can be easily ordered and delivered the next day 🩷 it is an absolute minefield though so I totally get how mad it can be 😅😅 xxx

I have been looking at one from Matalan a 6in 1 dose from 6months to 5years it says. Where did you get your one from ?
Ohh it’s definitely a mind field x

Is the nasal spray better or the drops ? x

Definitely don’t need a lot of This stuff, and a lot can wait.
But it does come around quick and if you were looking to be prepared then you can get ahead.
I am one of them people who buys everything way in advance and stock up on everything 🤦♀️
Calpol you don’t need yet no but a couple of months flies by 🤍

I like being organised but it’s the room we don’t have 🙈. And a few months will fly by as you say. Also do I really need a nest pod. Heard loads of people saying about them but is it essential really ? X

Yea that’s it, personal preference I was just explaining that others don’t need to get them yet, just incase u wanted. I don’t want others reading and panicking or getting overwhelmed.
I have never used and don’t like nest pods, but again personal preference.
I have always used Moses bouncer and play mat downstairs and crib and then cot upstairs 🤍

It’s just if I don’t need it. The £30 I was going to spend on it can be used for something that we do actually need like a play mat. Or the nose sucker etc. Thank you ❤️

how much is the calpol saline nasal spray usually I don’t want to get ripped off 😂? Xx

only about £3.50!

ohh ok thanks. Am glad I checked first. As am getting it for £5+ of off Amazon. Will go to Tesco when am going shopping. Is £8.50 ok for the nasal thing with 20 filters ok ?
Sorry for all the questions x

yes perfect :)

thanks ☺️ x

Digital Thermometer and a baby vanity kit (nail clippers, brush etc) I got the Tommy tippy one.

thanks got them as well x
