Would it be weird to add a wedding band to my set that includes my sons birthstone? My mom said it would be weird since it’s not like my son is married to us lol but my husband and I think it isn’t weird bc our son came from our marriage and love and helped make us a family. What is everyone else’s opinion?

As long as you like the look it wouldn't be weird. I think it's beautiful.
It's also not super uncommon and tbh people will stack on the rings just to have more rings. To either have symmetry or just jump on the Stackable bandwagon. Anything sentimental included in your set is always wonderful in my book.
While I am no fashion expert, I do have a bachelor's in jewelry and was an assistant manager at a jewelry franchise. So I've seen a lot of styles.
Edit: In fact I've sold many bands that include all kids birthstones for push presents. Some choose to wear it on their right hand, but many paired them with their set. Or we've also set flush set birthstones for the kids on the inside of the wedding bands. But those stones can fall out, it's not the most secure setting.

I honestly wouldn’t call it a wedding band, so I’d put it in another finger and not really make it part of the wedding/marriage set. Are you considering having more kids? Would you do it for each? Or add multiple birthstones to one ring?
