I’m really struggling with food intake. My boy is having 3 meals but he is still having four bottles a day and I’m really struggling to fit in snacks.
I’m starting to worry as he will be 1 at the beginning of next month and I’m fully aware he should be on 3 meals, 2 snacks and cutting out formula 😩
What are people’s feeding schedules and any advice on how to cut down a bottle??

I'm EBF here so not sure if the same advice applies, but from my understanding once they are 1 then you can gradually reduce the milk intake so I wouldn't worry too much. My LB is 10 months and still very much likes his milk. We have some days where he eats solids really well and others when he just doesnt want it (i think teething and colds havent helped). I'd recommend joining the FB group called Weaning the BLW way. They have the must up to date guidance and have been really helpful when I've had any worries or concerns. Might be worth posting your question there for the admins to review as I think you'd get some really helpful advice

Me too I'm the same it's difficult right now, but I don't want to deny him the milk because he wants it before his naps the food just isn't filling him enough and the windows are so long!

I went to a baby group the other day and was saying how my LO doesn’t eat much in a day and they said what I need to do is reframe it and look at how much she has eaten over a week instead. This has actually been really helpful as I’m not dwelling on the details and actually they are all different levels of hungry every day depending on how much they slept/moved or if they are ill/ teething etc.
I also don’t do snacks unless she’s getting really hungry and cranky as otherwise she fills up on them and won’t eat my lovely gourmet meals!! 😝😝

Snacks are not required especially with that much milk. I don’t do seperate snacks but offer fruit / yogurt / rice crackers etc after a meal. X

My baby’s 10 and 1/2 months she dropped formula almost completely. She’s on 3 meals a day with snacks and diluted juice (specialist told me to do this) when she’s 1 I have to try her once every 2 weeks to see if her milk allergy is gone on diary. So I’ll just give her 1 bottle of cows milk every 2 weeks and see if she has any reaction. But that’s how it is for me don’t stress to much lovely x

I won’t lie tho my baby’s always been a big eater when it comes to solids. I weaned her at 4 months and since hitting 5 months she’s been eating a lot. She’s 1 next month and she ate more then me at my birthday meal it was an all you can eat place and she ate a plate that was piled and only left a few noodles and ate desert. I know all kids are diff but I truly think early weaning made her a good eater cuz as a kid I was such a bad eater so she def don’t get her good eating from me
