Does anyone know if Falange size is universal or varies by brand? The reason I’m asking is because I have an elvie stride and a spectra pump. My son is 9 weeks old. For the first 3 weeks, I used my elvie and was able to pump a decent amount of milk (never used my spectra at this time and didn’t have a different size Falange for it) After a few weeks, my elvie stop allowing me to express a lot of milk (maybe an ounce) so I started using my spectra (with 17 mm falanges that I got fitted for through a lactation specialist) and was able to pump 6-8 ounces after breastfeeding. So I got the 17 mm inserts for my elvie hoping it would be more effective. I’m still only producing 1-2 ounces through my elvie and 6-8 through my spectra. So I’m wondering if it’s just because the elvie isn’t as powerful or if the Falange inserts work differently by brand.

Flange size should be universal , it’s circumference in mm.
That said, most women find the spectra more efficient than any other pumps. Wearable breast pumps are not really meant to be your main pump.
