Being induced what to pack
This is baby no3 for me but first time being induced early
My consultant wants me to be induced at 38 weeks due to losing my son in May 2020 and because of medicine I am on. What do you pack in your hospital bag, I'm taking a suitcase so that way I have 1 side for being induced and the other side for after giving birth but I generally don't know what to take with me. I'm giving birth at St johns hospital in livingston do they still give you milk for the baby or do you need to take your own?

I heard people say a noise machine…. Like white noise cuz the hospital can be pretty annoying with its own sounds, snacks, ur own blanket and pillow cuz the ones they give u su*k. A fan, heating pad, good easy nursing clothes and outfit for u and for baby leaving hospital most people forget that part lol, chapstick, your own oversized towel because they have tiny ones, your own baby swaddle, stress ball or something to squeeze, hair brush! Your own soaps if u want
When I was induced I was in there 3 night (went in evening) so took a few changes of clothes, a few nighties, A LOT of knickers. I took headphones with me but it wasn’t actually too noisy but you don’t really get to sleep very well as the midwife’s check on you every couple hours anyway.
You do need to take baby’s milk, buy the packs of ready made. I think I took about 12 because you end up throwing away quite a lot. Honestly just pack things you’d need if going away really but take things to entertain you because it can be a slow boring process!
When I was induced it took 4 days for baby to arrive to take a tablet or laptop if you have one to keep yourself entertained! Or even headphones to watch stuff on your phone in case you’re on a ward! Also lots of your favourite snacks!!
