Am now 37+4 and am on day 5 of severe sciatic lower back pain on one side. Every time I try to walk it’s agony. Has anyone else had this? Any tips for trying to ease the pain I’ve tried salt bath, massage, ball and sitting on my ball x

I have this and I can't find anything that helps. So I'm just sitting at home like a hermit until baby arrives, as can't walk far enough without having a flare up :(

Yes we are back to back too :( I've managed to get him to turn slightly, so he is now more sideways, but still getting the pains just not as constant.
Good luck Chloe! Get bouncing and doing certain yoga poses

@Chloe you will be fine and it will all work out well. This is my first, and I'm just trying to find out as less as possible, because then I can't worry leading up to it and just deal with whatever on the day lol xx

I wonder if mine has turned and is now back to back as all was fine before last weekend and now walking is sooo painful. Am seeing the midwife later so will ask her to try and make out baby’s position.
Hopefully your babies turn and make labour easier for you both x

Just recovered from my crazy sciatica shooting pain. Tried a million things and found the following to work for me: (a) cow/cat yoga pose, felt like it helped relieve the compression. Did it 6 to 8 times each time with breathing. I also did it on the bed, as there was no way I could get down on the floor myself. (b) applied heat pack and did a mini hot stone therapy.
Hope this helps! Really hope you feel better soon.

@Sophie 🩵 quite possibly. Ours was fine but then went back to back and is now sideways.
I hope your midwife appt goes well. I have one on Sunday- 38 +2 I will be.
Xx
