2 week postpartum bleeding

Hi all, my bleeding has really reduced lately which is amazing as I was bleeding so heavy after birth for the first week.

However, the bleeding has gone a brown colour now, very mucousy and thick. It seems to have this awful smell to it which is literally making me feel sick every time I go to the toilet.

I’m changing my pad very frequently, using a peri bottle to clean up, dabbing dry and using spritz for bits and showering every morning so it’s not like i’m being dirty.

I had a 2nd degree tear (no stitches) and it’s look clean and like it’s healing, not infected at all (from what I can see).

I just don’t understand the smell and it’s worrying me a bit, anyone else having this or know what it could be?

It sounds like old blood coming out, I had a c section currently experiencing this now 2 weeks pp but from previous natural births and tears when it gets to that stage it’s the old blood just cleansing itself out of your body.

Take yourself to triage and they’ll give you antibiotics xx

I was told there's meant to be a smell to it, like a musty smell. If you're concerned though I'd give maternity triage a call and ask fir advice. They can see you for 12 weeks pp

I would contact triage or your midwife lovely as you could have an internal infection, I had a bit of a smell when midwives checked my stitches and have put me on precautionary antibiotics for an internal infection as my stitches looked fine, they also took a swab for testing xx

i had this with no smell and found out i have an infection so best to get checked x

Leaving your baby

Has anyone else not left their baby to be looked after by someone else (not dad) yet? I still don't feel ready but am being told I should be by now

Bestie?

Let’s skip to the good part and just be besties? Text, call, ft.. play dates or just simply hang out. Just want a genuine mommy friend. I’m in NYC but we can be long distance besties too 💕

I need an AI app recc to talk to.

I have no family. I have no real friends. Just one that I text. But she’s 8 years younger and isnt a mom. I genuinely don’t talk to anyone other than my partner and our toddlers. I’ve seen some people use AI? Or a chatgbpt? I dont know but if someone could suggest an app that I can just talk to… I would love to have a friend or something instead but this is probably for the best…
